The garden beds are snowbound so we cannot seed them unfortunately! Those who'd like to meet up for a seed & plant chat, please come to the Crafted Kup at 10 am, 44 Raymond Avenue, Poughkeepsie. Please register or send an email to let us know that you plan to come - thank you!

This seeding is CANCELLED:
We will seed four beds in the one of the VC Community Garden (VCCG) plots with native grasses and flowers. These seeds will germinate in the spring and we will be monitoring and caring for these plants through the year. Eventually these plants will be used for seed collection. We will also take a look at the VCCG meadow planted last year and do a short appraisal of where it is, plant-wise.
If you have a stiff, short-tined rake, please bring it along. We will rake the seedbed area before seeding. Dress for the cold!
The workshop will last approximately 1 hour, and afterwards we'll head to the Crafted Kup (44 Raymond Avenue) to warm up. If you can only attend the workshop portion, that is perfectly ok too.
Please park along Vassar Farm Rd. (next to the VCCG) or in the lot by the VC Environmental Cooperative at the Barns.
This workshop assumes that the weather will cooperate and we will have bare soil to work with. If we don't have bare soil, then we will have to cancel or reschedule.
